Bean Machine took the LastBall trophy back to Jersey defeating the Solent Sluggers 15-10 in the Gold-level "Victory" final after two days of temperamental weather.

16 teams from the Solent and around the British Isles came to Wide Lane Sports Ground in Southampton for another exciting installment of one of the best tournaments on the softball calendar. Ten Solent teams were joined by teams from the Channel Islands (Bean Machine, Guernsey Outlaws, V1 Rookies), Bristol (BAM), Thames Valley (Typhoons) and Wales (Wander Bears) at the University of Southampton's sports facilities, conveniently location across the road from Southampton Airport.

56 round-robin games were played over Saturday and Sunday morning in bright sunshine, and heavy downpours before the field was split into quarters, each playing a semi-final and final with the levels named Victory (gold), Warrior (silver), Britannia (bronze) and Mary Rose.

The Victory positions were mostly filled with Solent teams, with the Sluggers, Oddballs and Vikings being joined by eventual winners Bean Machine.

The silver Warrior final saw some 'home' pride restored, being won by the Portsmouth Dodgers, defeating the Wales Wander Bears in the final.

The Thames Valley Typhoons overcame the Chichester Falcons in the bronze Britannia final, with the Redbridge Raiders from Southampton taking home the Mary Rose trophy.
